Miss Pou

Miss Pou is a young, bilingual, talented, up and coming singer/songwriter. A previous winner of the YTP Te Reo Maori award at Pacifica Beats, Miss Pou is part talent, part hard work and part passion. Miss Pou has a growing online presence with over 100,000 views on youtube and facebook vids that regularly go viral. Miss Pou is in good company, having performed with Tama Waipara, done song writing with Maisey Rika, performance style with Fran Kora and musicianship with Tiki Taane. Currently attending Te Kura Kaupapa o Horouta Wānanga, Miss Pou is fluent in Te Reo Māori and enjoys kapa haka and singing both Māori and Non-Māori songs. Miss Pou received funding from Te Mangai Paho to record her first single ‘Turanga’ when she was 12. Now 15 years old, she has just completed recording her Te Mangai Paho funded 3 song EP ‘Ahakoa He Iti’ at The Lab for release in March 2018.
